About
An avid outdoor enthusiast and college student, I appreciate the beauty and vividness that nature throws at us. In the great words of Henry David Thoreau:
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. “
-Henry David Thoreau
It is this philosophy that I have come to believe and value. One where life is too short, and sometimes the best things in the world are not those found in society, but those found in solitude and nature. Hiking is definitely a paramount part of this mindset.
When I am not hiking, I am busy writing, mountain biking, horseback riding, and studying. Among all of these, writing is my passion in creative arts. As a freelance writer who started a career for myself while still in high school, writing is an integral part of my lifeāand continues to be.

Justin you have a very informative blog. Since you horseback ride maybe you could have a section on good riding trails in the Pacific Northwest. You might want to point out if bicyclists and horses would share the trails or not.
