Survival Guide: Packing Meds

Published by justin1390 at 11:58 pm under Survival Guide Edit This

As you get out to hike, remember to always pack the meds that you need in your survival kit.  This is especially true if you have a condition such as diabetes.  Forgetting meds in such a situation can be life threatening, so always take care to take what you need.  The most convenient way to carry these meds is either in your first-aid kit, or your survival kit.  Because I always suggest taking a survival kit with you, I would pack it in that, since you know it will always be with you.

Common items people forget to take are pain killers, antibiotics, diabetes medications, and the like.  To help you remember, make a hiking checklist and check off what you need with you in case you were stranded.  This will keep you safe, and possibly alive in a situation where you don’t have normal access to the meds you need.   Happy and safe hiking!
